This advanced
microprocessor based programmable instrument is having many unique
features. It is equipped with a broad bright LCD screen to display
the test parameters. The advanced microprocessor circuitry precisely
checks and controls the number of the rotations required for the tests.
The digital alphanumeric LCD screen displays various important messages
regarding the test like Set Rotations and Actual Rotations of the
test. The rate of abration and impact hardness of the tablets can
be determined by using this equipment.
The
unit is equipped with two transparent acrylic drums, which rotate
at a fixed speed. The advantage is that two batches of the tablets
can be tested simultaneously. Each of the two acrylic drums are provided
with an arm, which carries the tablets along with it upto a predetermined
height and allows them to fall from the specified height, while the
drums are rotating. With necessary arrangement, on request, the drums
can be tilted at 10o angle. The required number of the test rotations
of the Friability Test can be programmed with the help of self-explanatory
LCD display and simple keys. After the starting of the test, the display
simultaneously indicates both number of set rotations of the test
and actual number of rotations. The apparatus stops automatically,
with audio alarm, after the completion of the number of rotations,
set for the friability test.
The
main feature of this unit is that it encorporates a special constant
speed sturdy motor to drive the drums. The speed of the drums is maintained
constant at 25 RPM. Lf required, the instrument with other fixed speeds
such as 30 RPM etc, can be supplied on request. The cabinet of the unit
is having chemical resistant epoxy powder' coated finish. The unit works
on 230 Volts, AC mains supply.
